Margaret Schofield began oil painting between 1980 and 1986 but due to circumstances she had to return to work and her artwork took a back seat.
After Margaret retired in 2007, she settled in Scarborough with her husband and made enquiries about painting lessons at the Seaside Artists Gallery.
The gallery staff directed her to Todd Whisson and she has subsequently learnt a great deal from Todd and still attends his workshops when he holds them.
In addition to joining the Seaside Artists’ Gallery, Margaret also joined the Redcliffe Art Society and enjoys the companionship and the friendly atmosphere it provides.
Margaret works in pastels and oils and enjoys doing landscapes, she has also ventured into creating portraits of her family over the past few years.
