David May is a woodturning artist of international repute. He is also recognised as an author, teacher and an acclaimed judge of woodturning. His articles on woodturning have been published worldwide.
He has conducted many demonstrations throughout Queensland and New South Wales as well as in England.
A foundation member and past president of Redcliffe Woodcraft Society, David has lived on the Redcliffe Peninsula for forty years,. His many awards include the Excellence in Craft Award, five times winner of the Caloundra Art Festival wood prize, and four victories at the Queensland Woodcraftsman Guild. He has been Grand Champion at the Redcliffe Show on seven occasions.
David’s works are in private collections in U.S.A., U.K., Japan, Finland Holland, New Zealand and Canada.
