Brian Harper

Born in the UK, 1937; studied commercial art, portrait and lift study at the Reigate Art College, Torbay School of Art; Studied anatomy in London, when working in the art studio of ‘Education and Scientific Plastics Ltd’ (UK) painting, muscle, artery, nerve systems, and the organs of the human body, life size, for the training of Doctor’s and Nurses.

While living in Brixham S’Devon, painted sailing boats, seascapes with various other artists; mainly for the tourist trade; from 1964 till 1971, when he moved to Queensland.

Have been a member of the Caboolture Art Society and now with The Bribie Art Society and Redcliffe Art Society.

Have paintings hanging in the ‘Qld Air Museum’ Caloundra, also ‘Caboolture Warplane Museum’ as well as two murals.

Winner of two second awards with the R.A.S. 2007; also a Highly Commended in the ‘Matthew Flinders’, 2007 art show.

Have a passion for painting vintage aircraft, sailing ships (17-1800’s) also steam locomotives.
